Over 15 projects competing in Festival of Radical Performance


Over 15 art projects are competing in the First International Festival of Radical Performance in Tehran, the organizers announced on Tuesday, 30 January 2018.

Projects coming from different countries will be competing in the four categories of Performance Art, Video performance, Alternative Performance Art and Cyberformance.

Azam Tabatabaei, Parisa Sadeghi, Mehdi Asadi and Pejman Hosseini are participating in the Performance Art category, while Jalal Hashemi and Hossein Mohajer will display works in the Alternative Performance art section.

In the Video Performance  category, the participants include Faraz Fallah and Hesam Nazari both from Iran, Alejandro Zertuche, Manuel López, Zlatko Ćosić, Mauricio Sáenz, Lechedevirgen Trimegisto, Rogelio Meléndez,Jeffery Byrd  and Tony Schwensen.

Yolanda Benalba, Loose Change and Distant Feeling(s) are taking part in the Cyberformance section.

The art projects have been selected out of 143 submissions.

The jury members of different sections include Nasim Ahmadpur, Azadeh Ganjeh, Elias Aminian, Saeid Behnam, Asghar Dashti, Mehdi Sadr, Reza Ghayour and Ali Firoozjang.

Performance Art and Alternative Performance sections will be begun on Sunday, 4 February 2018 and Video Performance and Cyberformance categories will be begun on Sunday, 1 March 2018.
